How do employment agencies work?

Many will first do a general interview to determine if what they are looking for is what you are looking for, if you fit in with their type of work force, and if they can even help you. They do this by asking some simple questions in a pre-interview format. If you get past that stage they often have you sit at a computer and do an assessment test following a general application and past work history. Pending the results from this test they call you in and go over the types of work they have.
