Frequently, an adult is not present when these occur. By teaching first aid to everyone, children can assist each other during a medical event, no matter how minor. This first aid class should cover basic first aid supplies, how to treat minor injuries, and how to react during a major crisis. CPR is a must along with proper bandaging and splinting techniques. By teaching our children this, they won’t panic and do more harm than good to the injured. We need to push for this class to be included in every curriculum.
