June 29, 2008 on 2:14 pm | By admin | In HealthThe only way to know about the existence of hypertension is to get one’s blood pressure checked. Hypertension or better known as “high blood pressure” is a very dangerous disease. Don’t be fooled though, hypertension is a key element in causing strokes, heart attacks, heart failure and even death. If you are suffering from high cholesterol, the situation becomes more complicated. When there is excess cholesterol in your blood, the excess can become trapped in the inside walls of the arteries, clogging your arteries and restricting blood flow. . In most of the cases, people are unaware of the disease until a doctor happens to check their blood pressure as a part of a routine check-up. In fact, hypertension is called a silent killer. It is often called the “silent killer” because most of the people suffering from hypertension do not know that they already have it. Hypertension, or high blood pressure as it is also called, is a health condition that may not even have signs or symptoms. There are basically no hypertension symptoms at all. This disease can be very deadly and can lead to fatality if not detected or left untreated.
