Are Some People Just Lucky in Marriage?

As someone who has been single for a long time, I was curious and asked a few of my happily married friends what their secret was. Oddly enough, most of them told me they had not always had smooth sailing. Many said they were on the verge of breaking up at one or more points, but had learned how to Stop Divorce. What it all seemed to boil down to was not luck, but skill, good humor, a willingness to change, and, of course, love.
