Homemade items make best Christmas presents

When I was a new mom the first Christmas I shared with my daughter I made all the decorations on the tree myself. I used baker’s clay to make the ornaments. I rolled out the clay like cookie dough and used my holiday cookie cutters to make Santas, stars, bells and so on. For the garland I popped real popcorn and strung it together using a needle and thread. A few years later my daughter and I decided to make all the gifts for my brothers and sisters. For my brother Jer, I made a tabletop Christmas tree out of green felt and stuffed it like a plush toy so it stood on its own. My daughter cut out original designs of her own and pasted them on the tree. It is now over 20 years later and he still has it because he really thought we made the best Christmas presents.
