Favorite Family Camping Activity

At one of our local parks there is a family night sponsored where they get a giant screen with projector and display a movie at night. The fun part is that everyone brings their tent and other camping gear. We had ourselves and several other family friends participate. We pitched our site, had dinner and watched the movie. This was a great way for the family to enjoy the great outdoors while at the same time bonding with friends and having a good time. If you are doing something like this I would consider getting a larger tent. You can often find Tents based on the number of people that can sleep inside, but I find it is better to get a bigger one. For example, if you have 4 people it is good to get a 6 person tent. That way there is plenty of room to move around and put other stuff such as toys etc. Also be sure to get a tent that has a cover or "fly". This really helps to keep the rain out.
