Phone Books Over the Years

I can remember my family’s first phone.  It was a dial-up, made in one of the big bright, colorful models that were quickly replacing old black models.  One of the other new things that came with our phone was a slim volume with the names and addresses of other phone users.  As the years went by and the town grew, so did the Phone books.  From a skinny, cardboard covered list, they grew to include both business and individual information.  My last one was as big as any encyclopedia and included ads, coupons, and maps.  Ironically, by then my phone was so tiny I could hold it in in my palm.
