How Cage Bike Pedals Work

The way that these type of pedals work is by caging the riders toe in at the top of the bike pedal. This type of mechanism is not really found on high end bikes. It is used instead as a lower cost alternative. The cage mechanism must be adjusted properly in order to work, but it still is not considered as the most efficient type of pedal to use by many bicycle riding enthusiasts. However, there are some applications in which this type of pedal can be useful.
