The Women’s Singles’ competition – Roland Garros 2009

Last year’s winner, Ana Ivanovic is a little bit out of form but she will be looking to get back that form at one of her favorite tournaments, which she won in 2008 and was runner up in 2007.
Let’s not forget the Russian brigade, made up of very good and talented players, starting with the 1st ranked player, Dinara Safina, the younger sister of the Russian player Marat Safin.
Last but not least, there are the Williams sisters who, even though prefer fast surfaces, will have a big part to play in this tournament.
