Man Jailed For Filesharing Crime Was Doing More Than Getting Music
July 29, 2009 on 1:55 pm | By admin | In Technology | 28 CommentsIf we are to look at crimes from a degree of severity we would probably say that some crimes, even of a like nature, merit a larger penalty than others. The headline read, “man jailed for filesharing crime.” If we were to not read further we might think that this poor nearly innocent man had been sent to jail for downloading music. Not so, his filesharing crime went way beyond a music download. He was using a a filesharing program to actually steal money from innocent people. Filesharing music is a crime as well as stealing from people’s bank accounts, but the later deserves a harsher sentence.
